Ahoy, Jodi! Welcome to planDisney and thanks for bringing us your Disney Cruise Line question. I’m always happy to help a fellow Virginian get ready to embark on a sailing where magic meets the sea.
The stateroom options for a party of five are going to vary by ship, but Disney Cruise Line offers four different main stateroom types: Inside, Oceanview, Verandah, and Concierge. Every ship in the fleet has concierge staterooms and suites that can accommodate five guests, but those are the only options for groups of five looking to share a single stateroom on the Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, and Disney Adventure. In contrast, the Disney Dream, Disney Fantasy, Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny also have Deluxe Family Oceanview Staterooms and Deluxe Family Oceanview with Verandah Staterooms that can fit five guests because they feature an extra pull-down bed. None of the ships have any inside staterooms that can sleep five guests.
If you are trying to book a cruise for a party of five, then you can follow these steps to see the available options:
- Start by clicking on the “Plan a Cruise” tab at the top of the main website.
- Then click on the white box at the left labeled “Leaving” and choose your preferred months.
- You can narrow down your search further by choosing your desired destination under “Sailing to” or your planned departure port under “Departing from.”
- Click on the guests option to indicate how many adults and children are in the party where it says “Stateroom 1.”
- You can also indicate whether you want a particular themed cruise, a certain number of nights, or a specific ship by clicking on “More Filters” on the right side.
- Once you have your party information and all of your preferred filters in place, click on the blue “View Dates” button to see the available itineraries.
- After you click on your desired itinerary, you will be able to pick a particular sailing date.
- Click on the blue “Continue” button to see further details about that sailing and then click the blue button labeled “View Staterooms.”
- When you click on the blue “Confirm Travel Party” button, you will be able to see the stateroom options that are still available for that particular sailing.
If you need further assistance with your booking, then you can also call Disney Cruise Line directly at (800) 951-3532. Cast members are available to assist you Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM EST, and Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM EST.
Best of luck finding your perfect cruise and stateroom. If you have any other questions, then sail right on back to planDisney and we will be happy to help you. Happy sailing!
