Ahoy, Steve! I am so glad you cruised by with this question. It sounds like you have the perfect vacation on the horizon–and maybe the perfect Mother's Day gift, too.
We celebrated my in-laws' 50th wedding anniversary a few years ago with a
Disney Cruise Line vacation. My niece and I snuck away for some "favorite niece time," heading to Senses Spa for pedicures. It was perfection! Those moments together are core memories in the making.
Senses Spa & Salon is reserved for Guests ages 18 and older, but your wife and daughter should be able to enjoy time and treatments in this corner of heaven on Earth together. In the "
Know Before You Go" section, the age requirements guide that "Guests 13 to 17 years of age can have services and treatments under 2 conditions: a parent or guardian must book the services and treatments, and a parent or guardian must accompany them for the duration of the treatment." Your daughter should not need an exception if they are within these guidelines; however, you may need to
call Disney Cruise Line or visit Senses on the ship to book an appointment.
Now, my 17-year-old son wishes the same "when accompanied by an adult" allowance applied at
Palo Steakhouse. He's insisting we book another cruise for his 18th birthday so he can celebrate at Palo with the
Chocolate Soufflé. I've tried making this at home, but, like Mickey Ice Cream bars, they just taste better on a Disney Cruise. Well,
everything is better on a Disney Cruise, so I am all aboard with his plans!
Steve, I hope you can book a little pampering time for your wife and daughter! If you have any other questions,
planDisney is happy to help.
SEAS the Adventure!
