Hello and welcome to
planDisney, Sui. I see that you have a trip to the
Most Magical Place on Earth next month, you are going to love it! All of the parks will be dressed up in their holiday best and it's so festive and fun. I vacation at Walt Disney World around this time each year and it is so magical, you are going to have a great time!
I recently had the opportunity to dine at
Space 220 and let me tell you, it is an out-of-this-world experience. Advanced dining reservations open up 60 days in advance starting at 6:00 a.m. Mickey Mouse's time online or at 7:00 a.m. Mickey Mouse's time over the phone. Space 220 is a new and exciting restaurant that a lot of people have on their must-try list and I know that a lot of the reservations got swooped up right away. It can be time-consuming but I do suggest checking back at different times throughout the day, especially as it gets closer to the date you'd like to dine there. As plans change for other people, reservations do get dropped and this is reflected in real-time and reservations will pop up here and there. If you're lucky, maybe you can snag a spot this way.
If not, I have another idea that you might like. The lounge area at Space 220 is operating on a first-come, first-serve walk-up list. This means that there is a dedicated area for people who weren't able to or didn't want to grab a reservation. The lounge area is actually right in the middle of the restaurant so you will have the same experience and views as everyone else. You also have a few different dining options in the lounge area. If you'd like, you are able to only order off of the
Flight Bite (appetizer) menu or if you are pretty hungry you can still partake in the prix fixe menu option as well. If you aren't hungry at all, no worries there either. In the lounge, you are able to just enjoy cocktails or non-alcoholic beverages as well. The lounge area is much more flexible than the rest of the restaurant. I actually prefer it!
I hope you are able to dine at Space 220 on your upcoming vacation, Sui. If you have any other questions, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help. Have fun and enjoy!
