if I book my son a different fast pass than I do for myself, can I still ride with him without a fastpass for myself? Example-I’ll ride avatar with my daughter & wanted to book na’vi river for my 3 year old son who can’t ride by himself. Thank you!

Hi there Kimberly! It's great to see you again here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Thanks for stopping by with your planning question. I'd be happy to assist you.

It looks like your vacation to the Most Magical Place on Earth is fast approaching; let the countdown to fun begin! This is the perfect time to be finalizing your itinerary and FastPass+ plans. My children love selecting their must-do attractions in advance, and we always let them each choose a few of their favorites to reserve ahead of time.

Kimberly, to experience an attraction via the FastPass+ entrance, every member of your party will need a FastPass+ reservation. This includes rides and character meet and greets. My three year old daughter's number one priority for our upcoming trip is to Meet Rapunzel and Tiana at Princess Fairy Tale Hall. Because she is not able to greet the royal ladies on her own, I will be sure to secure a FastPass+ spot for her and me in advance. While we are enjoying an encounter with some of our favorite princess friends, my son and husband will be using their FastPass+ reservation to race around the track on one of their favorite attractions, the Tomorrowland Speedway. For your son to experience the Na'vi River Journey with FastPass+, another adult in your party will also need a FastPass+ reservation.

I hope this helps you plan your theme park adventures! Have you heard about the brand new attraction at Disney's Hollywood Studios? Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway recently debuted as the first theme park ride-through attraction to feature the main mouse himself! From what I have heard, it's a zany good time. The best part for families like ours with children of varying heights: there is no minimum height requirement! It's perfect for the whole family, and I do hope you can experience it.

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
