Hi there, Susan!
I love hearing that you want to use Disney Vacation Club points for an adventure at sea with Captain Mickey. And what’s better than having one vacation on the books? Well, of course, being able to have TWO Disney vacations planned! So I say BRAVO to your plans!
The
Disney Vacation Club Points Charts will tell you precisely how many points are necessary for redemption for a Disney cruise, including various itineraries separated out by destination for 2021 and 2022. For example, there are voyages to the Bahamas, the Caribbean, Alaska, Europe and the Mediterranean, and even Transatlantic and Repositioning cruises.
There’s no rule that requires you to take your first vacation before booking a second one. But I want you to be aware of the technicalities governing use of Disney Vacation Club points. For instance, Disney Cruise Line reservations must be made prior to the last 4 months of your Use Year for sailings during that Use Year. Additionally, all reservations are subject to availability, and Disney Cruise Line itineraries are still subject to cancellation or modification. Important Cancellation/Modification rules can be located under the tab entitled “Plan a Vacation” on the Disney Vacation Club website...or just click
here. If you need help walking through the process,
Disney Vacation Club Member Services will be happy to access your membership and answer specific questions about your account.
Another great resource for you are
my pals here at planDisney who specialize in Disney Vacation Club! They really know their stuff and are WAY more knowledgeable when it comes to Disney Vacation Club specifics. It truly is their superpower! Please feel free to send any of us more questions, whether they are about Disney Vacation Club, Disney Cruise Line, Walt Disney World, or Disneyland (or all of the above)!
