When I consulted the Jedi archives, I found that, currently, our friends from the U.K. can book experiences from the
Enchanting Extras Collection, like
Savi’s Workshop, through the chat function on the Walt Disney World Resort website. Or, as my friend
Matt C. does,
call a friendly Cast Member at the resort. You can begin doing this 60 days before your arrival date.
While I have not done this experience myself, I have heard from so many
Star Wars fans what a surprisingly emotional experience it is, and I can certainly picture that. But remember, the experience doesn’t have to stop there. After all, when you’re in
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, you are on the planet of Batuu, and building your own lightsaber is where your story actually begins. So make sure you take it all in. Stroll around with that new piece of scrap metal. Take some pictures with the
Disney PhotoPass Photographers. Sip some
Blue or Green Milk. And if you have the latest version of
Disney Band, ensure you’ve downloaded the Play Disney Parks mobile app when you’re at the resort to play Batuu Bounty Hunters. Do you
need a lightsaber to do this? No. But I’d imagine it makes it feel all the more real!
