If we book a 1 or 2BR Savannah View Villa @ AKL, are they a far walk from main pool? We stayed in the pirate room @ CRB last year & while rooms were amazing, they were too far from main pool to be worth it. Don't want to be super far again..thoughts?

    Hi, Mindy!

We recently stayed in a 2 bedroom villa at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas-Kidani Village and I must say that some of those rooms are very far away from the pool, which is directly across the driveway from the lobby.

When booking your room, you might want to ask the Cast Member working with you to add a request to be positioned as close to the lobby as possible.  While not a guarantee, this will allow the front desk to know your wishes when rooms become available on check-in day.

I must say, though, that as far away from the lobby and the pool our villa was, the Savannah View makes that walk absolutely worth it.  Another bonus is that at Kidani, unlike at some of the other resorts, your walk from the lobby area to your villa is entirely indoors, so you're protected from the elements, too. In those hallways, there are windows between segments of the building, much like a hand-crafted necklace is tied together with links between gems, so you get to see a variety of animals on the savannah on your way to and from your villa, too.

Because Disney arranged the rooms to maximize the view of the savannah, you might, indeed, have a bit of a hike to the pool.  However, the pool, too, is so spectacular that you'll forget about the walk as soon as you see it!

Have a wonderful trip, and please be sure to send us additional questions as they arise!  We love to help!
