Hello Andrea it's so lovely to hEar from you once again!
I've some very fond memories of staying within the African themed
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge with my own family where each Guest can totally immerse themselves with a little help from the meticulous multi-sensory theming and by enjoying all the various displays of African art & tribal culture including the hugely impressive 16' tall
Igbo Ijele Mask which is proudly displayed in the main lobby area. Plus Guests can capture that
wild feeling forever by purchasing African inspired souvenirs by popping along to the
Zawadi Marketplace where you're sure to find something which is both magical and exotic!
I'm lucky enough to have stayed several times in a
Savanna View room and can honestly say that waking up each morning to roaming Zebra, Giraffe and the like was totally worth the added expense and because of the unique African
Krall or horse-shoe style design, rooms with a Savanna View do all benefit from this extra ordinary experience. However I believe that Savanna View rooms placed in the middle of this horse-shoe shape could be considered more favourable.
It may also be useful to know that Guests can perform an
Online Check-in via
My Disney Experience including room or other specific requests up to 60 days prior to arriving at Walt Disney World Resort.
Have a great Disney day.
