If I book my room/tix for Oct 2013 now, would I be able to switch the dates without penalty? Just in case free dining becomes available and need to adjust dates.

    Hello, KC!

I've spoken with a Cast Member at Walt Disney World Reservations who assures me that Guests are entitled to a full refund of any money deposited to hold a reservation as long as that reservation is cancelled at least 6 days prior to their arrival date. As such, Guests can make reservations now and, if they find a better deal, need to change dates or resorts, they can simply contact Reservations to make a new booking, and then cancel the old reservation. 100% of the money paid toward the original reservation will be refunded to the Guest's credit card (provided it at least 6 days prior to arrival), at which point the payment for the new reservation will be charged to the credit card. Talk to a WDW Cast Member at Vacation Package Booking at (407) 939-7675 for more detailed information.

In my opinion, this is a great way to ensure that you get the reservation you want, but allows some wiggle room should something come up which causes you to want to change a detail or two of the reservation.

Happy shopping! Send more questions as you think of them, too. I'd love to help you plan your trip this very magical place!
