Hi, Trish!
It sounds like you are in the planning stages of your magical
Walt Disney World vacation! I am happy to help you get you started with how to book your
Resort Hotel rooms.
When booking more than one room, each room will need to be booked separately and will have its own reservation number. When you get to the "Checkout" page, you will see "Room & Amenity Requests" and you will want to click on "Change." You may then request a connecting door or a nearby room. It will ask for the guest's name of the second room and the arrival date. Click "update" and you are set! Do this for both rooms during booking so the reservations are noted as requesting connecting doors or a nearby room.
You are also welcome to
contact a friendly Cast Member if you have room requests or you may use the "chat" feature at DisneyWorld.com (click on the "Help" icon on the right of your computer screen). Please remember that all room requests are noted but cannot be guaranteed.
Depending on the size of your travel party, you may want to look at the option of a Family Suite at
Disney's Art of Animation Resort. These rooms are great for families as each suite has a separate bedroom with a queen bed, and the main room has a full-size murphy bed and a full-size sleeper sofa. A Family Suite has 2 full bathrooms and comfortably sleeps up to 6 guests. My family likes the Cars Family Suites with the fun Radiator Springs theming! An afternoon at the
Cozy Cone Pool is the perfect way to relax after a busy morning in the theme parks.
I hope you find the perfect resort for your family's visit to Walt Disney World. Stop by
planDisney if you have any other questions. Have a magical day!
Cathy
