Hello Maureen,

Thanks for bringing your question to us here at planDisney. I do hope this question is some indication that you're starting to plan for your magical stay at the Walt Disney World Resort!

I always recommend choosing a Disney Resorts Collection hotel when visiting the Walt Disney World Resort. There are so many beautifully designed and comfortable accommodations, each offering that touch of delight and Disney magic to help you experience the Disney difference.

The current cancellation policy for a Resort room-only reservation is that you must provide notice that you're cancelling your reservation at least five (5) days before your arrival and check-in date in order to receive a refund of the deposit you made at the time of booking. You can often cancel your Resort reservation online through your My Disney Experience account, and you can also call the Walt Disney World Resort for help in cancelling a reservation.

One important note to point out, Maureen, is that terms and conditions for Resort reservations are subject to change. This applies to cancellation policies and refund policies as well.

You can always review the Terms and Conditions for Resort reservations by checking out the "View the Terms and Conditions of your order" information when you go through the checkout process with the reservations in your cart.
