I love a Disney cruise with a group, and have reserved quite a few of them with my multigenerational family over the years! There’s nothing like winning a good game of Star Wars Trivia against your family and friends and reminding them over and over for the rest of the cruise! I would be happy to explain how you can reserve a Disney cruise for your group of eight guests.
You have two options when it comes to reserving a Disney cruise for a party of eight. You can either reserve a Concierge Suite that sleeps eight, or you can reserve two
connecting staterooms next to each other. Please keep in mind that staterooms that are not Concierge Suites only accommodate between 3 and 5 guests, which is why two of them will have to be reserved if you’re going the connecting stateroom route.
In fact, my group of seven is headed on a Disney cruise tomorrow (woohoo!), and this is exactly what we’re doing: we have two side-by-side verandah staterooms reserved right next to each other. We’ll be able to share the spaces so that it feels like an extra-large stateroom and ask our Stateroom Host to open our connecting verandahs, essentially creating one very large verandah!
If you would like to reserve a Concierge Suite where all of you can stay in the stateroom, you will need to reserve a Concierge Tower Suite on either the
Disney Destiny,
Disney Dream,
Disney Fantasy,
Disney Treasure, or
Disney Wish. These very luxurious Tower Suites can all sleep up to eight guests in one large and stunning stateroom!
It’s very easy to reserve a stateroom for your party. Connecting staterooms are available in all the
stateroom categories. You can reserve either one stateroom at a time, choose them next to each other, and then link them later. Or you can reserve both staterooms together on either the Disney Cruise Line website or by calling Disney Cruise Line and choosing connecting staterooms. If you’re booking a Concierge Tower Suite or any other Concierge Suite that accommodates more than five guests, you will need to call Disney Cruise Line to make your reservation, as you can reserve for up to five guests in one stateroom on the Disney Cruise Line website.
