Welcome to planDisney, Juhi!
It sounds like you're planning a truly magical trip to Walt Disney World Resort! Staying close to Magic Kingdom Park at one of the Disney Resorts Collection hotels is a great idea. If you'd like to stay on the monorail loop, then you can choose between Disney's Contemporary Resort,
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, or Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. Personally, I'm partial to the Polynesian Resort due to the theming (I'm looking you, newly refurbished Moana rooms). I also love the
Lava Pool, with its immense volcano, zero-depth entry point, waterfall, and super-fun waterslide. As an added bonus, the Tiki Kikis kids splash play area is perfect for my two young Mousketeers. The dining is also fantastic! One of my wife and I's favorite things to do is order Tonga Toast and the Freshly Brewed Joffrey's Coffee Hawaiian Kona Maragogype Press Pot at
Kona Café before taking the
water taxi over to Magic Kingdom Park.
If you're hoping to book a character breakfast, then once you've made your booking, I'd recommend checking availability for
Chef Mickey's,
Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White, and
Topolino's Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera. However, you might find it difficult to find availability for character breakfasts if you're traveling as soon as April. Tables fill up pretty quickly once they become available. Guests traveling to Walt Disney World can make dining reservations up to 60 days in advance of their trip. Those staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel get the added benefit of being able to make reservations up to 60 days in advance plus the length of their stay (up to 10 days).
If there is no availability, it's possible that other Guests will cancel their reservations closer to your trip. Therefore, I would keep checking availability as your trip draws near and see if anything becomes available.
Juhi, the
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique experience is unfortunately yet to return to Walt Disney World. I'm keeping my EAR close to the ground for any exciting news. I'd encourage you to keep checking Disney Parks Blog for any announcements.
If you would like to book your vacation, then here are three ways to do that:
Option #1 — Book Through the Walt Disney World Website
You can plan, price, and, if you're satisfied with everything, book your vacation through the website.
Option #2 — Book Over the Phone
Speak directly to a
Cast Member and they will be able to book accommodation and tickets for you, as well as answer any questions you might have.
Option #3 — Use an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner
There are a number of no-fee agents who can help you plan your vacation (often even saving you lots of money in the process).
I hope you have a truly magical vacation, Juhi. Please stop by planDisney again if you have any questions.
Mike
