Hi there, Kirsten, and welcome to planDisney!
I'm happy to hear that you're excited about the return of the Disney dining plan options, the Disney Dining Plan and Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan. Let's get into what you'll need in order to take advantage of these super convenient prepaid options.
Room-only Disney Resorts Collection hotel reservations, which my family usually books because we are Walt Disney World Resort
Annual Passholders, and third-party vacation packages and tickets are not eligible for the addition of the
Disney dining plans.
In order to add one of the Disney dining plans, you'll need a Disney vacation package booked through Walt Disney World. It may not be too late to modify your current reservation. You can make changes to your existing room-only reservation by calling a friendly Cast Member using the
Disney Resort Hotel Reservations phone number.
AN EXTRA GEM: If you choose not to make modifications, many Guests choose to budget their meals, albeit not prepaid, by using
Disney Gift Cards. I think that this is an excellent alternative and it definitely helps me track my Disney-specific purchases. Disney Gift Cards can be used almost anywhere on property, and you can use them as a payment method in the
My Disney Experience App for your Mobile Checkout and Mobile Ordering needs.
Kirsten, I know that this may not have been the answer that you were hoping for. But just know that, no matter what, you have an amazing adventure ahead at The Most Magical Place on Earth. If you have any other questions about your upcoming vacation, please revisit us here at planDisney.
I'm all ears!Magic always,
LeAndra
