If I book a room reservation and a discount comes up, do I have to cancel my current reservation and then re-book to get that discount or can I just call and have it added?

You’ve posed a great question, Nicole. I’m happy to help ensure that you’re saving as much as you can on your next dreamy Disney vacation!

Most special offers include details and exclusions that limit both the availability and applicability of the discount to specific resorts and room types. Even though this is the case, I’ve always had great luck in applying a newly-released offer to an existing reservation booked through the Disney website. If you book your room or package through, say a big box store, that luck may vary.

If a new offer becomes available and you’d like to apply it to an existing reservation, I recommend calling the Disney Resort Hotel Reservations line. If you’d like, you might even be able to have the Cast Member compare the savings of two different offers to see which discount yields you greater savings. Chances are that you’ll be able to apply the offer to an existing package. That is not a guarantee, of course, but in my experience, there is a high likelihood that it will work out just fine.

I hope that helps, Nicole. Have an unforgettable trip!
