Hey there Teresa,
Welcome to planDisney! I'm so glad you stopped by with your question.
Like you, I'm thrilled about the
transformation of the Paradise Pier Hotel into the Pixar Place Hotel! The construction is set to be finished in just a few short day - January 29. While the Disneyland Resort website still
lists the hotel name as the Paradise Pier Hotel until the official completion date, rest assured that if you book a stay at this hotel then it will be the Pixar Place Hotel starting January 29!
With the completion date just days away, the majority of the transformation is already complete - including the
Great Maple Modern American Eatery! There will be so many wonderful new things to see and experience around this reimagined hotel, so I'm excited to stay here as well during an upcoming trip.
One additional tip for your stay - did you know that you have a "top secret" entrance option into Disney California Adventure Park as a guest of Pixar Place Hotel? To access it, you'll want to exit the hotel lobby onto Disneyland Drive and head left toward the intersection at Paradise Way (toward
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa).
Cross the Paradise Way like you're walking to Disney's Grand California Hotel & Spa and follow the sidewalk up to the entry gates of that hotel, but before scanning to enter the gate toward the lobby, take an immediate right and scan your hotel card into this gate instead. The gate has a sign that says it is an entrance for hotel guests of Paradise Pier Hotel/Pixar Place Hotel (depending on when you arrive).
Go through this gate and follow the sidewalk around the side of Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa until you'll be able to take a right toward your secret entrance to Disney California Adventure Park! I've used this entrance a few times during each of my last few visits and it's always been so quick and easy to get into the park! It will deposit you between
Corn Dog Castle and
Seaside Souvenirs.
Thanks again for your question, Teresa! Enjoy your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
