If I book my room over the phone 499 days in advance, can I add the ticket and meal plan (If it's back by then) when it's available or will I need to make a completely new reservation?

Hello there, Marie-Joel! Greetings from everyone here at planDisney! We are so excited that you’ve taken the time to stop by and can’t wait to answer all of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation questions!

As a frequent Guest at Walt Disney World Resort, I highly recommend staying with the Disney Resorts Collection! There are so many wonderful perks Guests have access to throughout their stay including complimentary theme park transportation, closer proximity to the theme parks, extended access when booking dining reservations, and so much more. My family’s favorite perk, though, is the amazing details found across all of the Disney Resort hotels. The amount of storytelling and beauty found at each individual resort is absolutely amazing and really sets the tone for your whole vacation!

Another perk that we enjoy is the amount of flexibility you have when booking and customizing your stay! Guests can choose from a variety of add-ons and extras to simplify their stay or add an extra dash of pixie dust. Though it is unavailable during the initial reopening stages at Walt Disney World Resort, the Disney Dining Plan is a great option for many families that love the simplicity of pre-paying for their meals. Fortunately, you will have no problem adding this option to your reservation at a later time, if it is available! I highly recommend keeping an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for any official news regarding the return of the Disney Dining Plan as well!

You will also be able to add whichever theme park tickets you choose at a later date as well! This is actually done automatically whenever you purchase your theme park tickets through Walt Disney World Resort directly. As soon as you have completed your order, you should see your tickets appear on your My Disney Experience account. This is particularly important when making your theme park reservations through the Disney Park Pass system since you will need theme park tickets when making your reservations!

Best of luck as you continue to plan for your Walt Disney World Resort vacation in the future! Please let us know if we can assist in any way as you create your plans!
