Hello there, Shazia. Thanks for reaching out to us on our little corner of the internet. Let's get your question answered!
As you likely already know, the new
Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass Services allow Guests to book Lightning Lane reservations ahead of their trip. Guests staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel can currently begin to book 7 days ahead of their trip, while other Guests can book 3 days ahead (both at 7 a.m. EST). You can choose which days you'd like to purchase the service, whether you want to purchase both or just one, and with Lightning Lane Multi Pass, you can book up to 3 Lightning Lanes for each day you purchase the service. It's a great way to know which must-do experiences you have booked before you even step into the theme parks! And everything else is just...cake!
At this time, to make an additional Lightning Lane reservation with
Lightning Lane Multi Pass on the day of your theme park visit, you must redeem a Lightning Lane first. For each Lightning Lane you redeem, you can book an additional one (subject to availability). As such, it's recommended to make at least your first Lightning Lane reservation earlier in the day so you have the best chance of booking your additional desired attraction once that one has been redeemed.
Except for
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, the other theme parks have different groups to choose from when making your initial Lightning Lane reservations ahead of time. You can pick one attraction from Group 1 and two attractions from Group 2. Of course, you can choose all three from group 2, but that isn't recommended. All that being said, did you know that on the day of your visit, when you're making additional reservations, currently, all the groups go out the window? That's right, when you're making an additional Lightning Lane reservation with Lightning Lane Multi Pass after redeeming a Lightning Lane, you can reserve any included attraction, no matter which group it is in (subject to availability). As such, I'd make sure you
take a look at the groups so that you know which attractions to prioritize. If you're looking to get the most bang for your buck, I'd reserve as many attractions from Group 1 as possible each time you redeem a Lightning Lane!
Shazia, best wishes for maximizing your Lightning Lane Multi Pass purchase. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to
reach out to me!
Come, we fly,
Matt
