A lot of people will agree that this is a fun way to ring in the new year. In fact, New Year’s Eve is often one of the busiest days at Walt Disney World Resort, so you’ll want to make your dining and hotel reservations as soon as possible.
You can make hotel reservations by selecting the
Places to Stay tab on the Walt Disney World website, but I’d suggest calling the
Tickets and Hotel Reservations line to speak with a helpful Cast Member. They’ll be able to walk you through all the available hotel options.
You can make dining reservations in a few ways. One is to go to the Things to Do tab on the Walt Disney World website, and click the
Make Reservations link when the dropdown menu appears. This will take you page where you can select your party size, the date you’d like to dine, time preferences, location preferences, and then see all the available dining reservations. You can also make reservations directly through each restaurant’s webpage, just look for the Check Available Days button. You can also search for restaurants or use the Reserve Dining search on the My Disney Experience mobile app.
As for restaurant recommendations, I’m going to focus on restaurants at the resort hotels since having a dining reservation doesn’t guarantee entrance to the theme parks if they reach capacity. This doesn’t happen often, but it has been known to occur on New Year’s Eve.
One of the most popular options is
California Grill at the Contemporary Resort, which hosts a special New Year’s Eve event (to book a reservation, please call 407-824-2284) and offers amazing views of the Magic Kingdom fireworks. You can also view the Magic Kingdom fireworks at Narcoossee’s at Grand Floridian Resort and ‘Ohana at Polynesian Village Resort. Moving to other parts of the resort, you can spot fireworks from Toledo at Coronado Springs Resort and
Topolino’s Terrace at Rivera Resort.
