Hi Colleen! Welcome to planDisney!
Thanks for stopping by with this great question! Choosing to stay in a Disney Resorts hotel during your vacation is the best decision you can make! Each one is wonderfully themed and equipped with all the magical Disney touches.
Each of the resorts located at Walt Disney World is available for all Guests to book regardless if they are members of the Disney Vacation Club. If you want to steer clear of these resorts, make sure to not book any of the resorts that offer Deluxe Villas as an option. A few of these include Disney's Riviera Resort, Disney's Old Key West Resort, and Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort. There are a couple that offer both accommodations. Some of these include the following.
- Disney's BoardWalk Inn / Disney's BoardWalk Villas
- Disney's Beach Club Resort / Disney's Beach Club Villas
- Disney's Wilderness Lodge / Cooper Creek Villas & Cabins at Disney's Wilderness Lodge
When booking your stay, head over to the
Walt Disney World website and use the "Build Your Vacation" toolbar located at the top of the page. Enter your anticipated travel dates, along with the number of Guests in your party. A host of Disney Resorts hotels will appear to choose from with the prices for your selected dates. You can use the "Filter By" option to narrow down your search and exclude Deluxe Villas if you prefer not to stay in them. It's the quickest way to search for your resort and book your upcoming stay.
Colleen, I hope this information helps you during the planning process! One of the best perks to come along with a Disney Resorts stay is the access to
complimentary Disney Transportation each day. This comes in a variety of forms, including by bus, boat, monorail, and even the Disney Skyliner. You'll never have to worry about getting to your destination.
See ya real soon!
