Hey there, hi there, Vivian! Thanks for stopping by planDisney where you're always welcome as can be.
Like you, I don't reside in the Golden State, so I'll just be California dreamin' for the time being. Currently, only Mickey Mouse's closest neighbors can
make reservations to visit Disneyland Resort theme parks, but all are invited to enjoy a staycation at
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. We are still waiting on a reopening date for the
Disneyland Hotel and
Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel, so stay tuned for when you could potentially book an escape at one of these properties.
My advice is to go ahead and reserve your grand getaway now and keep watching the
Disney Parks Blog or
Experience Updates page for updates to the theme park California residency requirement. Even if you aren't able to visit Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park on this vacation, you'll find plenty to zip-a-dee-do during your trip. The
Downtown Disney District is open to all and offers unique shopping and dining opportunities including an out of this galaxy, immersive merchandise experience at
Star Wars™ Trading Post. Guests of Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa have access to
the resort's top-notch restaurants and
spalshtacular swimming pools. My family enjoyed several resort-only staycations at hotels in the
Disney Resorts Collection this year, and we found more than enough to keep us busy outside of the theme parks.
I hope this is helpful as you prepare to vacation on the Golden Coast this September. It'll be truly wonderful to
return to a land of magic, and I wish you all the best. Thanks again for coming to see us at planDisney, and we'll see ya real soon!
