Hi Micah! Thanks for dropping by planDisney.
I have good news for you. Standard
admission tickets to Disneyland Resort that don't require the use of a government-issued photo ID don't need the name on the ticket to match the person using the ticket. Admission tickets that require ID, such as a California resident ticket or military discounted ticket, however, do need to match. If the admission tickets you purchased don't fall into those categories, your sister will be fine using the ticket as is. When you scan into the parks for the first time, a Cast Member will quickly snap your picture, and from that point forward, your picture will be associated with the ticket and the name won't matter. After first use, the Guest using the ticket can't change since their photo is tied to the ticket but no one will inquire about the Guest's name or request ID.
However, if you're still concerned and would like the name to be changed, you may speak with a friendly Cast Member on the
Tickets phone line. They'd be happy to assist you and answer any of your questions.
I have children a similar age to your niece, and we've celebrated their birthdays more than once in the parks. It's extra special that it will be her first visit. Visit City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park or Guest Services in Disney's California Adventure Park to pick up a complimentary
Birthday Button. That way everyone will know she's celebrating! You never know what magic could happen. You also might want to reserve a Mickey Celebration Cake at eligible dining locations, which can be decorated with a birthday message, or book a special
Character Dining experience, so your niece can meet her favorite Characters, while you dine. My boys love
Goofy's Kitchen in Disneyland Hotel. It's an iconic choice.
Have a magical day.
Elizabeth
