Hi Ralie, and welcome to planDisney! Late night, in-park dining reservations are one of the best, little-known secrets about the Walt Disney World Resort! You can often snag a reservation near to or after park closing, which gives you a little more time to enjoy the ambiance of the parks with lighter crowds and less chaos! And getting some rare photos in a nearly empty park on the way out just might be one of my favorite perks of late night dining!
Ralie, both Magic Kingdom Park and Disney's Hollywood Studios will be hosting
After Hours events starting this month, with EPCOT joining in the fun in February. If you do not have a ticket to attend these events, but have secured a dining reservation in the parks, you will still be able to enjoy your dinner before leaving the park. Once you have finished your dining, however, if the park is officially closed, you will not be able to enjoy any of the attractions. In most cases of After Hours, the parks close one hour prior to the start time of the event to allow for day guests to clear out. Cast Members at rides and attractions will begin looking for proof of party admission for remaining guests to be allowed in certain areas of the park and on the attractions.
As you plan for your reservations, I encourage you to take a look at the
park hours calendar so you have an idea of what time the parks will be closing during your visit and how that will align with your desired dining plans.
I hope this has been helpful and that you have an amazing vacation! Come back to
planDisney anytime if we can help again!
Magic Awaits,
Alison
