Can you book private tours in Disneyland?

    Hi Cathy,

Thanks for visiting planDisney! I’m happy to share some tour options available at Disneyland with you.

If you’re looking to roll out the red carpet for you and your party, consider booking a VIP Tour. These tours are led by a Disney expert and tailored just for your group. Your guide will share park history, fun facts, and assist with Lightning Lane access (subject to availability). They can also help secure dining reservations and premium viewing for nighttime spectaculars like World of Color Happiness!, Wondrous Journeys, Paint the Night, or the Better Together parade.

VIP Tours last between 7 to 10 hours and are limited to 10 Guests per guide. They’re definitely a top-tier Disney experience; you’ll be in for a real treat! To learn more, you can email DisneylandVIPTours@disney.com or call (714) 300-7710.

If that sounds a bit longer than what you're looking for, there are also shorter guided experiences available, like the Disneyland Railroad Guided Tour or the 70th Anniversary Guided Tour. These are not private tours, but they offer great insights into Disneyland’s history and some fun behind-the-scenes details. I haven’t taken one myself yet (it’s high on my Disney bucket list!), but many guests rave about them.

Before I wrap up, I saw that you're planning a trip for March 2026. That’s typically when the California Adventure Food & Wine Festival takes place! It’s the biggest festival hosted at the Disneyland Resort and features tons of delicious food, desserts, and beverages. Each year brings back fan favorites along with exciting new items.

You can check out the 2025 Foodie Guide on the Disney Parks Blog to get a feel for what to expect. My personal favorites from this past year were the Musubi Fried Rice and the Cherry Cobbler Pot de Crème. If you’re planning to sample a lot, consider purchasing a Sip and Savor Pass, which offers savings on either four or eight items (excluding alcoholic beverages).

Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for updates on the 2026 festival as your trip gets closer.

I hope this was helpful, Cathy! If you have any more questions or want more planning tips, feel free to reach out to me or one of my fellow planDisney panelists. We're always here to add a little more magic to your Disney vacation.

    Happy planning!
