If I book a premium room, and the rest of our party books standard rooms, is it even possible to get rooms that are close together? I know it isn't a guarantee to be close in the first place, but would this make it harder? Thank you!

Hi there, Tessa! Welcome to planDisney. We’re glad you’ve brought your questions to us.

I’m excited to see you’re planning a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth this September. Staying at one of the three Disneyland Resort hotels offer the convenience (and luxury!) of being in close proximity to the magic and excitement!

When we travel with extended family and need multiple rooms, we usually book the same room category and request to have our rooms adjacent or close to each other. I have not personally experienced requesting different room categories to be nearby, so I inquired with a Cast Member. I was told that while there is no guarantee for any rooms to be close together (due to capacity), it is easier and more likely to have rooms of the same view category close together. They may be able to assign a premium view room across from a standard view room, but again this is also not guaranteed.

I was also informed by the Cast Member that once you’ve booked your rooms and received confirmation numbers, you can request for notes to be placed on your bookings to indicate you’d like to be close together if possible. When you’re on the Disneyland Resort website, there is usually a “Help” tab on the right side. You can utilize the Chat feature and ask a Cast Member to place the notes on your reservations, requesting to be close together. Another option is to call the hotel directly and make your request via phone. Shortly before your arrival, I recommend calling the hotel again to confirm your request. Cast Members are super friendly and will try their best to accommodate your request.

I hope you’ll be able to secure rooms near each other on your upcoming visit to the Disneyland Resort. If you have more trip-planning questions, please don’t hesitate to visit us on planDisney again.

    Sending you pixie dust,
    Kiki

Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
