When you book port adventures and on board activities are the person or the room?

Ahoy, Nicole! Welcome back to planDisney and thanks for bringing your Disney Cruise Line question to us.

All Port Adventures and select Onboard Activities must be booked for each member of your sailing party who will be participating. You can start making reservations once your cruise balance is paid in full and your advance booking window opens, which is determined by your Castaway Club membership level or status as a concierge guest. If you are a first-time guest, then the advance booking window opens 75 days prior to sail date, but the earliest advance booking window opens 130 days prior to sail date for concierge guests. Activities can be booked online or through the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App when your advance booking window opens, but are also available onboard your ship, subject to availability, on the day of your departure for all activities.

Keep in mind that advanced reservations are only available for certain onboard activities, including: adult-exclusive dining options, spa and fitness offerings, nursery time, and certain “onboard fun” activities, such as beverage tasting seminars, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique appointments, and a few special character events. Please note that these onboard activities vary by ship, sailing date, and are always subject to availability, which is why booking these particular options early is recommended. However, there will be plenty of other activities for everyone in your sailing party to enjoy no matter their age that do not require any kind of reservation at all. Once you can connect to the ship’s wi-fi at the port, you will be able to see everything that your ship has to offer, including the schedule of events for your entire sailing.

If you do decide to book a Port Adventure or another activity requiring a reservation, you will get the option to check which members of your party you would like to add to the reservation during booking. Any costs associated with these offerings are per person, but most Port Adventures have different prices for children depending on age.

As you continue planning your upcoming cruise, feel free to come back to planDisney with any additional questions. Happy sailing!
