    If we book at POR after securing our flights in January sale and later discover that the free Disney Dining Plan is available during our stay can we switch without penalty. If there is no free dining could we also switch to a Value Resort, which is cheaper

    Hi Roy!

         Yes and yes!  You have absolutely nothing to lose by booking your Walt Disney World Vacation package right away!!!  If Free Dining becomes available during your dates and your vacation qualifies, you may switch to the promotion with absolutely no charge or penalty.  You will need to keep up with the latest and greatest discounts by visiting sites such as MouseSavers.com.  Disney will not make the changes automatically, you will need to call them and have them apply it to your reservation.  Although only one discount or promotion can be used at a time, you will need to compare all the promos to make sure you get the best deal for YOUR family. 

         If you would like to switch to a Value resort, you can do so without penalty as long as you are not within 45 days of travel.  After that point, you will be charged if you package price drops.  So go ahead!  What are you waiting for???
