Welcome, to planDisney, Jordon!
Ah, l’amour! I'm thrilled to see your romantic question because I consider myself to be a bit of a love expert. In my eyes, The Happiest Place On Earth is one of the most romantic spots to be! Here are some of my favorite tips for proposing at the Disneyland Resort. I’m so honored to help as you start to plan this special moment!
So, Jordon, I totally get that you want to make sure you capture that big moment—it's truly A Tale As Old As Time. First things first: Anyone with a valid admission ticket and theme park reservation can take photos in the parks. It’s actually really common for couples to hire an outside photographer for the day. Just be sure to check the list of Prohibited Items at the Disneyland Resort to make sure that your photographer's gear complies. It’s also a good idea to check in with park officials beforehand —you might need a photography permit.
Then, there’s the magical Disney PhotoPass! PhotoPass photographers can help capture precious memories around the theme parks. When my sister’s husband proposed, he found a PhotoPass photographer nearby, and they were more than happy to capture the moment. While PhotoPass photographers can’t be booked in advance, I always recommend getting the Lightning Lane Multi Pass for at least one of your theme park tickets. This way, you'll have access to free PhotoPass downloads all day, and you can instantly share them with your loved ones via the Disneyland Mobile App right away.
If you want to go the extra mile and book professional photography to make sure everything runs as smoothly as a Dole Whip, the Disney Weddings team is amazing for planning proposals! They can help you arrange the perfect Magical Moments and even connect you with official engagement and wedding photographers.
Congratulations again on beginning your Happily Ever After with your One True Love, Jordon! I'd love to hear more about the amazing proposal you’re dreaming of. Feel free to keep me posted or reach out again if you have any more questions.
Love is an open door,
Danielle
