Welcome to planDisney, Kerry! I am so sorry to hear that you had such a torrid time on your last trip - let's try and make this adventure much more special - as it should be in the Most Magical Place on Earth!
Kerry, you can buy a one-day ticket to visit a Walt Disney World theme park when in the U.S. Prices are subject to change and will vary depending on the park you choose to visit, the date, and various optional add-ons such as a
Park Hopper Option.
Another alternative, if buying before you travel is a must, is to purchase a ticket to a special event such as
Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween Party. Such events only run at certain times of the year, and I am not sure if you have already booked flights. If you want to pursue this option, you may only purchase tickets externally from the Walt Disney World Travel Company through U.K.-based tour operators, at this time.
As you said, your preferred choice is to make single-day purchases, I recommend buying tickets in the States online or by calling U.S. Guest Services rather than at the Main Entrance Ticket Booths. Just so there is no availability disappointment at the door.
One other suggestion, no ticket is required to dine at one of the Disney Resort hotels. Some meals include wonderful character interactions, such as Minnie's Beach Bash Breakfast at
Cape May Cafe in
Disney's Beach Club Resort - your daughters might love this experience and there is often extra magic and activities sprinkled around the Disney Resort hotels.
Kerry, I really hope this proves to be the most memorable trip you have made with your girls yet - and for all the right reasons! If I can help in any way to make your trip to Walt Disney World a little more magical, please reach out! Louise
