Hey there, Jessica, and welcome to planDisney! Your trip to the Disneyland Resort is coming up in a few short weeks - have you started a countdown, yet?!
I love the convenience that comes with the
Vacation Packages feature on the Disneyland website - we use it often when we visit the Disneyland Resort. When you book your package, it will include your
Disneyland Resort hotel stay and your
theme park tickets, but you will still need to make the
theme park reservation for each day of your visit after you've finished purchasing your package.
Hakana Matata, though, my friend! This is an easy process and I'd be happy to walk you through it. Before you begin though, I would recommend taking a peek at the
Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar to make sure there are still available reservations for the dates of your trip.
After you've checked that, you'll purchase your vacation package and your confirmation email will include your theme park ticket information. You can use that information to link your tickets to your
Disneyland account and visit the
theme park reservations page, which will walk you through the reservation process.
Additionally, as you're considering your vacation package purchase, I would highly recommend considering the
Park Hopper option with your tickets! This will allow you to hop between the two parks starting at 11:00 AM, which gives you lots of added flexibility during your trip.
If you need a hotel recommendation, my favorite place to stay is the
Disneyland Hotel. It is conveniently located and really captures the magic of Disney throughout the resort. If I'm headed to
Disneyland Park, I like to take the
Disneyland Monorail into the parks when I'm staying at this hotel (there is an entry gate in Downtown Disney just passed the security gate near the Disneyland Hotel). If I'm visiting
Disney California Adventure Park, then I like to walk through
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa for the "secret" entry gate into the park!
Also, don't forget to utilize your
Early Entry benefit since it sounds like you'll be staying at one of the hotels of the Disneyland Resort! This extra time in the parks typically comes with very short wait times for some of the most popular attractions. When I visit, I like to try to get at least 2-3 attractions in during this time and then eat a quick breakfast once the park starts to get busier - usually mid-morning.
Thank you again for your question, Jessica! I hope you have a fantastic visit to the Happiest Place on Earth.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
