If a book a room/tickets/dining package through the free dining promotion that includes the quick service dining package, can I upgrade it to the Disney dining package?

Hi Daniel! Thanks for bringing your question - and your appetite - to planDisney! With the return of the dining plans this month and the current Disney+ Dining Promotion, there is a lot of talk about tasty treats, fine dining, and superior snacking around the Walt Disney World Resort at this time! I am happy to chat with you about your dining plan question!

With the current dining plan offer, Disney+ subscribers are invited to enjoy a free Quick Service Dining Plan when choosing to stay as a Disney Resort Hotel guest at select value or moderate level resorts and the standard Disney Dining Plan when choosing to stay at select deluxe level or deluxe villa resorts. The good news, Daniel, is that guests who receive the Quick Service Dining Plan do have the option to upgrade to the Dining Plan if they so choose! You can make this adjustment online when booking your reservation; after selecting your dates, travel party, resort, and ticket options, you will have the option to keep the included dining plan or upgrade for an additional cost.

While both dining plan options will give each guest in your party over the age of 3 a resort refillable mug, one snack credit per night of your stay, and one quick service meal per night of your stay, the key difference is the addition of a table service credit in place of a second quick service credit when you upgrade to the Disney Dining Plan. If your family is looking forward to character dining experiences, dinner shows, or any fine/signature dining, the upgrade will give you the credits you need for these options!

As you continue to plan for your trip, remember that Advance Dining Reservations are available 60 days in advance of your check-in date, and as a guest at a Disney Resort Hotel, you will be eligible to book up to 10 days of dining at the 60 day mark. This is a great perk for those popular reservations that are a little more difficult to get!

And speaking of popular reservations, my family never misses a night at the Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue during our visits! It's always a hand-clapping, foot-stomping good time! And the unlimited sangria for guests 21 and over is a nice bonus! Check it out if you get the chance!

Enjoy your vacation, Daniel, and all the amazing dining you choose! Please come back anytime to planDisney if we can help with any other questions you have!
