Can I book online now for my date provided or how far out can I book

    Hiya, pal! Welcome to planDisney!

While he may be a villain, Scar from “The Lion King” had one good idea: Be prepared! I applaud you for getting a jump start on your vacation planning. It’s never too early to start thinking about hotels, dining, rides, and everything else that makes Walt Disney World the most magical place on Earth.

I’m sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but guests aren’t able to make reservations for 2028 at this time. At the time I’m writing this, the furthest in advance you can reserve a hotel or purchase theme park tickets is for January 29, 2027.

Release dates for 2027 or 2028 vacation packages haven’t been shared publicly yet, but we can look at recent history for some clues. Last year, 2026 vacation packages became available in April 2025, and a few years earlier, dates for 2024 became available in May ‘23. And then there were the 2025 vacation packages, which went on sale in February 2024. So my educated guess would be that vacation packages for 2028 would go on sale in late winter or spring 2027.

In the meantime, make sure you take advantage of all the great Disney Parks planning resources to ensure your visit is memorable and magical. The Disney Parks Blog will be your best source of news and updates for everything happening at Walt Disney World. If you’re visiting with kids, make sure you check out the planDisney video library. It's full of tips and tricks for visiting with little ones, teens, and every age in between.

I hope this info helps with your vacation planning. Come right back to planDisney if you have any other questions. We’re always happy to help!

    Magical travels!
