Hi Virginia!
Your vacation sounds practically perfect in every way! We have booked split stays many times. It's a great way to enjoy the sites and amenities of multiple
Resort hotels!
Great news! Transferring from one Resort hotel to the next is very easy! On the day of your transfer, you can simply pack your bags and call Luggage Assistance/Bell Services. Let them know you are transferring to a different Resort hotel. When it's time for you to depart, a Cast Member will count your bags with you, and will give you a claim check. Then, you are free to go enjoy your day!
Be sure you keep anything with you that you will need throughout the day because it will take a few hours for your luggage to be delivered to your new Resort hotel.
If you haven't done so already, you will want to take advantage of
online check-in so you will be notified when each room is available.
When you arrive at your second Resort hotel, simply contact Luggage Assistance/Bell Services and give them your baggage claim number. Based on personal experience, you might want to take a picture of your baggage claim number so you have it easily available on your mobile device when you need it.
To answer your specific question, I have never had a Resort hotel hold my luggage overnight. If there is a specific need, I recommend you reach out to the second Resort hotel to discuss your options. I know they will do all they can to accommodate you.
I'm so excited for you!! I know you will enjoy both of your Resort hotels! Please let me know if you have any other questions as you plan your magical
Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
