Can I book The Office in the Lamplight lounge and have balloons and cake delivered during my reservation time?

Happiest Greetings on Earth, Megan! I'm so glad to welcome you to planDisney and thank you so much for bringing your question to us.

I can't think of a better way to celebrate a birthday than with the whimsical delights of Lamplight Lounge! The Office is truly a one-of-a-kind dining experience that welcomes Guests to an exclusive seating area through a unique entryway. It also has access to a private outdoor deck with an excellent view of the Incredicoaster zipping along Paradise Bay! Perhaps the most inspiring part of this seating area is the hand-drawn (and signed) portraits of Pixar animators hanging on the walls, so if you are a fan of animation and filmmaking like I am, it is truly impressive.

Megan, I asked a Cast Member about your question and learned that there is no way to pre-book or reserve The Office in advance of your visit. The chance to dine inside The Office is simply that - pure and serendipitous magic! But, I still have a couple of recommendations that might increase your chances of enjoying this special experience. However, I want to make it clear that I have no specific insider knowledge here, and my tips are simply from my own personal experience.

First, I've noticed that larger parties are often invited to dine in The Office. During my last visit, I secured a dining reservation for 8 Guests during the first hour of the day and we were lucky enough to be able to celebrate my husband's birthday in The Office! Remember that you can make your dining reservation up to 60 days in advance of your visit, and Lamplight Lounge is definitely one of the table service locations that book up quickly, so be sure to look for availability right when that window opens up. Again, this advice simply reflects my own experience on the day that we were "the chosen ones." I think the fact that it is a true surprise for Guests makes it even more special when it happens!

Megan, when you place your table service dining reservation, you will notice an opportunity to request a Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake and I'm happy to report that Lamplight Lounge is one of the participating restaurants. This would definitely be a fun addition to your birthday dining experience! There is no balloon delivery that I am aware of for dining reservations, but you can certainly purchase balloons from a number of vendors you'll see along Buena Vista Street as you enter Disney California Adventure Park!

One more tip for you, Megan. I highly suggest visiting a Guest Relations location or one of the Disneyland Resort hotels to request a complimentary celebration button for your birthday! I bet you'll get countless happy wishes during your visit and you never know what kind of magic might happen! I hope these recommendations are helpful and I'm wishing you a memorable birthday celebration in "The Happiest Place on Earth!" Please come back and visit planDisney again if we can help answer any other questions in the meantime.

    Magically yours,
    Tishra
