Could you book 4 nights in a resort with the dining plan, purchase the 8 day park pass, and seperately book the next 4 nights in a different resort? So we would have 4 days with the dining plan and 4 days with out. Plus allow us to check another resort?

    Hi, Sherry!

You could certainly arrange your Walt Disney World vacation the way you described in your question. Basically, you must include the Disney Dining Plan for every person on your reservation for each night of your reservation.  As such, you can surely have one reservation with the Disney Dining Plan and a different, second one without.  Just be sure that you won't miss the Dining Plan on the second reservation, since you can only add the Disney Dining Plan to your reservation no later than 48 hours prior to check-in.

Keep in mind, too, that the Disney Dining Plan meal entitlements expire at midnight on the day of your checkout.  So, although you've checked out of your first resort, mid-stay, and into your second resort, you'll still be able to take advantage of any unused meal entitlements until midnight that night.  We've moved from one resort to another on several occasions, and it's been a great opportunity to explore a new resort without feeling as if we're missing out on an old favorite.  Plus, Cast Members have been wonderful in getting our gear from one place to the other; they'll hold your luggage for you at Bell Services until someone is able to be present in the room for your bags' delivery.

Whatever you decide to do, please feel free to send us any additional questions you may have as you plan your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation!  We love to help!
