Ahoy there Osvaldo, I'd like to wish you a warm Canadian welcome to planDisney!
From the sounds of it, you're looking forward to an extended getaway over the holidays and as the weather gets chillier up in Canada - who can blame ya? If fact, there's really nothing like ringing in the New Year amidst the warmer weather down in Florida if you don't mind the potential crowds of holiday revelers that come with it.
A
Disney Land and Sea Vacation is definitely something many folks and families choose as a way to keep those vacation vibes going before or after they set sail. Now here at planDisney we aren't travel agents nor Cast Members who actually book reservations for you, so those are the folks that you'd likely reach out to first if you need extra assistance. However as a seasoned sailor, I can point you in the right direction so you have a good idea of the things you might need to know to get started:
- With this in mind, you'll want to think about how you'll want to structure your Disney Resort Hotel stay before or after your cruise. As the pricing tends to fluctuate over the holidays to meet the demand for folks coming down to celebrate New Year's Eve, this would be an opportunity for you to decide whether you envision yourself sipping and snacking under the dazzling fireworks at EPCOT with thousands of others or up on deck while sailing out on the open ocean and allocate your budget accordingly. (Personally, having experienced many New Year celebrations at sea I was definitely thankful that at the end of the night, I could reach my bed from anywhere across the ship within minutes!)
- This could be a great opportunity to add Ground Transportation that allows guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel to be transported right to Port Canaveral without worrying about their luggage, which is delivered to and from your stateroom on board. They say it's a nice feeling to depart one location and finding your things magically appear when you arrive at your destination!
Whatever you choose to do, I would definitely look at reaching out and booking your stays sooner than later at such a popular time of year; keep in mind that special happenings like the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays run for a limited time, so you might want to have your Land-based adventures first if you don't want to miss out! Come back to planDisney again for any more advice once you've booked your vacation Osvaldo,
I'm always here to help Canadians on their Disney adventures around the world.
Here's to the New Year at the Most Magical Place on Earth!
