If we book a night at one of the Disney world resorts, are we able to park in the parking lot and take the Disney bus to the parks with out being checked in yet?

Hey there Shannon and welcome to planDisney. Some of the best parts of staying at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel are immersing yourself in the magic of themed hotels, swimming in feature pools, and having access to Walt Disney World Resort Transportation.

Guest staying at Disney Resorts Collection Hotels may park complimentary in the hotel parking lot. When you get to the guardhouse of the hotel, the security guard will greet you and ask your purpose. Tell them you are checking in and they will ask for your name and ID. Once inside, park your car, go to the front desk, and ask them if you need a paper parking pass until you have officially checked it. In years past we have needed the pass to park in the lots but not in the last three years. From there take the Walt Disney World Transportation of your choice whether it is Disney Skyliner, Walt Disney World Bus Service, Watercraft, or Walt Disney World Monorail System.

planDisney Pro Tip: If you are headed to the theme parks before checking in and you are leaving your car in the Disney Resort Hotel, be sure to pack a theme park bag separately so you can park and go.

Shannon, your Disney adventure is out there waiting for you. Please write me back directly if you have any follow-up questions.

    Enjoy making many Magical Memories.
