Can i book a 1 night at Disney resort & buy a 1 day pass separately. Will we still get the same benefits even though we didn't book a package? I have a 6 yr old autism child & i wonder what services you can provide for her 1st time experience

Hi there, and welcome to planDisney!

Staying right in the middle of the magic at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel comes with some great benefits including extra time in the theme parks and lots of convenient complimentary transportation options.  I'm happy to tell you that you can take advantage of the same resort hotel benefits whether you bundle your resort stay and theme park tickets together in a vacation package or if you purchase your park tickets separately.

Like you, I also have a child who is on the autism spectrum.  My son is a teenager now, and we have been bringing him to Walt Disney World Resort since he was a preschooler.  One of the reasons why my family returns to Walt Disney World Resort year after year is that there are many services for Guests with disabilities that help my son enjoy his visits to the theme parks.

When I visit the Walt Disney World theme parks with my son, we use Disability Access Service (DAS).  This is an accommodation intended for Guests who, due to a disability, cannot wait in a traditional queue environment.  To see if DAS or any other services would be a good fit for your child, you can stop by Guest Relations when you arrive at one of the theme parks.  If you would prefer to talk to a Cast Member about disability services prior to your arrival at Walt Disney World Resort, you also have the option to do so via a live video chat.

To request a video chat with a Cast Member, you'll need to go to this Registering for DAS webpage.  You can read through the information on this page, and you'll need to click on the button to review and accept the terms and conditions.  Once you've completed that step, you can click on the "Request Live Video Chat" button to be connected with a Cast Member.  The Cast Member will help determine if DAS is an appropriate accommodation for your daughter, and if so, will be able to preregister her for the service.  Please note that this video chat needs to take place 2-30 days prior to your theme park visit, and your daughter needs to be present during the video chat.

I hope that this information is helpful as you prepare for your trip to Walt Disney World Resort.  If you have any additional questions, please visit planDisney again at any time.  See ya real soon!
