We want to book 1 night at a deluxe resort or possibly the swan/dolphin hotel. If we want to take advantage of the extended evening hours do our night stay have to be on the night of the extend hours or can it be on check out night?

Hiya Pete - welcome to planDisney!

Thanks so much for stopping by with your question for our panelists! Extended Evening Theme Park Hours and Early Theme Park Entry are just two of the many potential benefits of staying in a Disney Resorts Collection hotel, or other eligible partner hotel. This extra time in the parks with fewer Guests makes it easier for your crew to enjoy everything that the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary Celebration has to offer!

You'll be very pleased to learn that you are considered a registered Guest of an eligible Resort hotel on both the day you check in and on the day you check out! So, make the most of it and pack as much time in as you can!

I hope that this added flexibility makes your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort holiday even more magical than before! Please let me know if any other questions come up as you continue your planning.
