    If I book a Multipass for 4 guests, do they all have to tap into the ride at the same time or can they show up at different times as long as it is within the arrival window?

    We're so honored that you continue to trust planDisney with your Walt Disney World Resort vacation planning questions. I'm thrilled to assist you as you prepare for another visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth! With a brand new system in place for bypassing standby queues, it's a great idea to dive into the details before you arrive. I purchased Lightning Lane passes during my visit just this week, so I'm delighted to share what I learned! 

    If all members of your party are Guests of a Disney Resort hotel then you will be eligible to purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass and reserve your first 3 selections as a group 7 days before check-in. Please keep in mind that you'll also need to have your entire travel party linked and sharing plans as part of your Family & Friends List in your My Disney Experience account to complete this process as a single transaction. Once your Lightning Lane selections are confirmed, each member of your party will be able to redeem the experience by scanning into the attraction at any point within the allotted time frame collectively or individually. For example, if your party has a Lightning Lane for Kilimanjaro Safaris from 9 AM to 10 AM, you could each scan in individually, as a large group, or in pairs at any time between 9 and 10. Please keep in mind that if 2 members of the party scan into the attraction at 9:10, they will immediately be available to reserve their next Lightning Lane, but the remaining 2 people will be unable to do so until they redeem their current attraction. This would potentially keep you from booking the next attraction as a group if you desired to do so.

    You'll find that it is super easy to modify your Lightning Lane selections in the My Disney Experience app if your initial selections don't work for your entire group. Availability constantly changes, so if a desired attraction or time isn't available initially I encourage you to keep checking back. Things periodically open throughout the day as people modify their plans.
