how do I book my meal plan

Welcome to planDisney, Tracy! I'm so glad to be able to answer your question today about my favorite part of a Walt Disney World vacation: the food. The Disney Dining Plan is a great option for you if you want to make the most of the dining options available to you, and I'm happy to walk you through exactly how to add it to your trip.

If you already have a Walt Disney World vacation package booked and want to add a dining plan, the easiest way is in My Disney Experience. Open the app, go to "My Plans," find your Resort Hotel reservation, and click "Change Reservation." From there, you can modify your existing booking and add the dining plan if you prefer. The system will show you the updated package price before you confirm, so you'll have all the information available. If you'd rather talk it through with someone, you can also call Disney Resort Hotel Reservations, and a Cast Member will add it for you over the phone.

There are two dining plans to choose from: the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan, which is great if you like counter-service flexibility, and the Disney Dining Plan, which includes a table-service meal every day for you to enjoy. Pick the one that matches your family's style! Once it's added, you'll see it reflected under your package details in My Disney Experience.

When it's time to make dining reservations, your booking window opens 60 days before your check-in date. There are a few ways to make restaurant reservations, but I think the easiest way to do it is in the My Disney Experience app. Just select the restaurant, pick a time, and book! If you're staying at a Disney Resort Hotel, you can make dining reservations for the length of your stay, up to 10 days, at that 60-day mark, which is super handy for snagging those restaurants you're itching to try.

I hope this answers your question, Tracy, and please let us know if there's anything else we can do to help you plan your magical vacation!
