Hi Kelly!
Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with a great question! As a mom of three, I know just how much little ones need to take a break on those long days in the parks and strollers are certainly important for families when visiting Walt Disney World Resort!
Kelly, when it comes to strollers in the parks, you have a few options.
Renting a stroller is a popular choice for families and rentals are available for daily rates or length of stay rates. I confirmed with a Cast Member that length of stay rentals do not need to be used on consecutive days. When you purchase your initial rental, you'll want to keep your receipt in a safe place as this will be what you use to redeem a new stroller each day. You'll also use your receipt to get a new stroller if you park hop to another theme park on the same day. It's important to remember that the rental strollers available through Walt Disney World Resort must be returned to the front entrance of the park upon exit and cannot be used while you're waiting for transportation or heading back to your resort. If you need a stroller beyond the theme parks, Disney has partnered with a featured provider, ScooterBug, to offer a convenient option to families, or you can bring your own stroller with you as long as it fits within the
required rules and specifications.
As you're planning your trip, I highly recommend making reservations for at least one (if not more!)
character dining experience. My kids love the chance to meet so many characters while enjoying a delicious meal! If you're on the
Disney Dining Plan, you'll find that most character meals redeem one Table-Service meal.
Garden Grill Restaurant in EPCOT is one of my favorites as meals are served family style here so I don't need to juggle three kids at a buffet! While characters are subject to change, you usually can find Mickey, Pluto, Chip, and Dale at this experience in their farmer outfits. The setting is also unique as the restaurant is circular and rotates through your meal so you can see various scenes from the
Living with the Land attraction. Don't worry though - the restaurant rotates slowly so you hardly notice the movement while eating!
Kelly, I hope this information is helpful as you continue to plan for your trip! Walt Disney World Resort with little ones is absolutely magical and we have some great videos from my panelist pals available in our
Video Library to help with your planning. Of course, you're always welcome to be our guest here at planDisney and I hope you stop by to see us again if you have any other questions!
Cheers,
Kristi
