Hey there Rehan and welcome to planDisney!
It's literally a jungle out there at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park and
Kilimanjaro Safaris is a must-do attraction while you're there. It's always exciting to jump into that vehicle and ride off into the wilds unknown with a trusty guide to show you the way. Let's walk you through a couple of ways your family can trek through the savannas!
One option would be to utilize
Disney Genie+ Service to try to book a
Lightning Lane. You can book for up to 12 Guests so your party of 9 is fine. If y'all are staying at a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel you can book a Lightning Lane reservation for all 9 of you starting at 7 a.m. on the day of your visit to the theme park. Just make sure you're all connected via the Family & Friends List in your
My Disney Experience app first. If your hotel accommodations are elsewhere, you can make those Lightning Lane reservations the moment the park is officially open.
Now if for whatever reason you can't snag that Lightning Lane don't worry, you and your party can still become one with nature. I would suggest a good ol' rope drop strategy! I personally like to enter the park as early as possible and head straight back to Africa to hop in the standby line. It can get pretty hot in August and I've noticed that the animals are super active early in the morning before the real heat kicks in for the day.
Rehan, I hope I've been able to help you today. If you have any other questions, feel free to
come back for another chat!Happy planning!
