I see that I can book my in-laws multipass if they are connected to my account as friends and family. But let’s just say my son decides to park hop with my in-laws and I stay at the original park can my in-laws modify my sons lightening lanes for him?

Hey Howdy Hey Jeffery and welcome back to planDisney!

Vacations to the Walt Disney World Resort are perfect for the whole family to experience. So much of the parks are built for multi-generational families and it is so exciting to see grandparents interacting with the grandchildren. It is also really nice to let the grandparents take the kids for a bit so you and your significant other can enjoy a unique dining experience or more thrilling attractions in the parks. If this does happen, you do have to adjust your settings on your My Disney Experience account so they can make selections for Lightning Lanes and such for your son. Let's go over how.

Jeffery, it sounds like you and your in-laws are already connected on your Family & Friends list which is the first step. What you want to do next is go to your "My Family & Friends List" on your My Disney Experience account and search for your in-law's profiles. Select "Settings" next to their name and look for the option to "Connect My Managed Profiles". This will now allow your in-laws the ability to make plans with your son's profile such as with Lightning Lane selections without you having to do it for them. One other option will give them access to his profile for the full picture during your vacation.

The other step will be to click on "Settings" for your son's profile. After access is given to your in-laws, you should see an option under your son's profile to "Allow (your in-law's name) to view all your plans" and "Allow (in-law's name) to view all Disney PhotoPass photos". This will allow them to view all the plans and photos you all take throughout your vacation so they can be aware of the details of your vacation.

Once everyone is connected with their My Disney Experience apps, this makes navigating the parks so much better and seamless. Just make sure your in-laws are aware of your son's MagicBand or they set up a Disney MagicMobile pass on their smartphones so your son can access the Lightning Lanes made for him!
