I am going to book a hotel and tickets package for the summer of 2024 to take advantage of the food/merchandise credit. Am I be able to add Dining plans to the existing booking at a later date without having to cancel as we haven't decided yet?

Hi Simon, welcome back to planDisney!

You must be so excited to book your Walt Disney World vacation with a special offer for next summer! I always have my eyes on the special offers page to see if there is a deal I would like to take advantage of.  You will be able to book your dining reservations 60 days prior to your arrival.  Since you are arriving on August 3, 2024, you will want to circle June 4, 2024, on your calendar.  This is the day you can make your dining reservations beginning at 6:00 a.m. EST.

In the meantime, you'll have plenty of time to research all the delicious dining options that are available to you.  I like to reserve at least one or two character dining experiences.  This is a great way to get photographs of your favorite characters without having to wait in line in the theme parks.  You will not need reservations for quick service locations but it's a good idea to review these as well and get an idea of where you might want to stop for a quick meal.

One of my favorite restaurants I'd like to recommend to you as an option is 'Ohana, located at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort.  I enjoy both breakfast and dinner, just not on the same day as both meals are very filling.  In the morning, you can enjoy Best Friends Breakfast featuring Lilo & Stitch and in the evening, the meal consists of Hawaiian-flavored specialties (the 'Ohana noodles, chicken wings and shrimp are my favorite!).  Both meals are served all-you-care-to-enjoy family-style so you can sit back and relax as the food and drinks come to you.

Simon, I hope you find this information helpful.  If you'd like any other dining suggestions as you plan your magical vacation, please let us know.
