We never like to think about it, but there is always the chance that something will come up that will put a monkey wrench in the best laid plans!
It that is the case with your plans of a
Disney Resort Hotel Package through the Walt Disney Travel Company, the
current cancellation policy states that you will receive a full refund if you cancel the package deal at least 30 days before your arrival. If you cancel between 29 and 2 days before your trip starts, you’ll receive a refund minus a $200 penalty per room. If you cancel one day or less before your arrival date, the entire amount is non-refundable. Always check the current cancellation policy, because it is always subject to change.
If you booked through a third-party or had a special offer, there could be additional cancellation fees. Check the fine print on your reservation for those details.
If there comes a time that you do need to cancel your vacation package, call the
Disney Resort Hotel Reservation line to have a friendly Cast Member to assist you with the cancellation.
Even though it is never fun to think about having to change your plans for a possible once in a lifetime trip, the good folks at Disney do make it easy to make those changes, and we don’t even need Mickey’s mousketools to help us!
Kieran, I hope you won’t have to cancel your January visit to the magic! You would actually be visiting during my birthday week, so make sure you enjoy a Mickey Bar or two and maybe sing a few bars of happy birthday to help me celebrate!
