Hi there, how do you book 2 hotel rooms on the Disneyland site? I am trying to book for 4 adults and 1 child and we want two rooms. The site does not give an option for a second room. Many thanks.

    Hi Andree!

Welcome to planDisney! We're so glad that you're hEAR! Thank you so much for sending this Disneyland Resort vacation planning question our way. I'm Kristen, and I'm so happy to be your planEAR today!

First of all, I'm quite jealous of your upcoming Christmas visit to Mickey's house. The Holidays at Disneyland Resort are my favorite. The decor is beautiful, there are seasonal treats, eats and sweets everywhere you look, some attractions deck their halls and walls to join in the merriment, and SNOW much more!!! (You will not want to miss the Disney Festival of Holidays at Disney California Adventure Park. Pro Tip: don't make a dining reservation on this park day!)

I agree with you, Andree, that booking a Disneyland Resort Hotel reservation can sometimes be a challenge. Unlike other hotel booking websites that ask how many rooms you'd like in one connected reservation and then asks how many you'd like to try to fit in said rooms, the Disney hotel booking portal is asking 'how many people are in your reservation' and then only shows you room options that will comfortably (and legally sleep) your group. The best bet in your situation is instead of looking for a room for 4 Adults + 1 child, would be to look and book a room for just those who are going to be sleeping in room one, and then look and book a separate reservation for those in room two. Pro Tip: Write down the confirmation code for the first reservation and add it to the notes section when paying for room two; this sort of alerts the hotel cast members that y'all are together, and to get the two rooms as near each other as possible.

I hope that this helped to clEAR up your hotel hang-ups, Andree! If you're still running into some reservation issues, feel free to reach out to your travel agent or to call the Disneyland Resort Hotel Reservation Helpline at (714) 956-Mickey or (714) 956-6425. Or, if you're thinking about a Disneyland Resort Vacation Package, they have their own helpline, which is (714) 520-5060.
