Hiya, John!
It's always so nice when fellow Disney Vacation Club Members drop by for a visit –– thanks for bringing your question to planDisney. I'm so excited to hear that you're planning a visit to Walt Disney World Resort this October. Not only will you get to experience Spooky Season in the parks (one of my favorite times of the year!), but you'll also get a chance to taste delectable delights from around the world during the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. If you ask me, it's the perfect time for a holiday!
And if you're looking to add a little extra pixie dust to your visit, don't forget that
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is making its frightfully-fantastic return to Magic Kingdom Park this year. With shorter than usual wait times, unique character sightings, and trick-or-treating
inside the park (plus lots more to enjoy), this is one of the coolest after-hours events of the whole year. And the best part?
Eligible Disney Vacation Club Members can even enjoy discounted admission to the party on select nights, so you'll get to enjoy all the fun and save a little dough –– talk about a win-win, right? Tickets are still available for many late-October dates, so be sure to check out the event page on the Walt Disney World website ahead of your visit.
When you choose to use your Vacation Points for stays at non-Disney Vacation Club Resorts or hotels, this is known as a
Disney Resorts Collection Exchange. But while the
Points Charts for these locations are available online, unlike DVC reservations, these Resorts can't be booked online through the Disney Vacation Club website. When you're ready to check availability and book your room, you'll need to give
Member Services a call to begin the reservation process. You can reach them Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 9 PM EST and Saturday and Sunday from 9 AM to 7 PM EST by calling 0800-783-2893.
Again, thanks for visiting planDisney, John. I hope this helped to answer your question, but please don't hesitate if you think of something new as your upcoming Walt Disney World Resort visit approaches!
Happy Planning,
Amy
