Welcome to planDisney, Kathleen, and Welcome Home!
We have been
Disney Vacation Club Members for over a decade, and while we look forward to our
DVC Resort adventures every year, sometimes life happens, and our plans change. Fortunately, Disney Vacation Club Membership gives us options to adjust our reservations without losing precious
Vacation Points. Let's take a look at
DVC Resort Cancellation policies.
If you cancel a DVC Resort stay that was reserved with Vacation Points 31 days or more before check-in, then all the Vacation Points will be returned to the Use Year in which the reservation falls. If you have to cancel between 30 days and one day before your reservation, then the Points will be placed into a
Holding Account. Once Vacation Points are in a Holding Account, they can still be used like typical Points, but with one exception: new reservations can only be made within 60 days of check-in. So, the time frame that these Points can be used is more limited. If you have converted
Vacation Points into Reservation Points and booked at a
Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, you have until up to five days before check-in to receive all your Reservation Points back into your account. If you have used Points to book with Interval International, then those
cancellation policies look a bit different. If you have any doubts about your particular cancellation policy, I highly recommend calling
DVC Member Services to review your booking.
Thank you for visiting planDisney. We are here for all your Disney Vacation Club questions!
Enjoy making magical memories!
