I would like to book a hotel for February 14-February 16

Hi Tera! Welcome to planDisney, and thank you so much for your hotel availability question!

A stay at a Disneyland Resort Hotel is always incredibly special, and it feels extra magical over Valentine’s Day. With a little love in the air, there is something romantic about ending your park day just steps from the magic at one of the three onsite hotels. I checked availability for your dates, and you are in luck. At the time of this writing, rooms are available at both the Disneyland Hotel and Pixar Place Hotel.

Both hotels are wonderful choices, but they each offer a very different kind of Disney magic. Picking between them really comes down to the vibe you are hoping for during your stay. I have stayed at both, and I would be happy to share a little about each to help you decide which one might steal your heart.

The Disneyland Hotel is perfect if you love classic Disney and a strong sense of history. This is the original hotel and it truly feels iconic. The theming is nostalgic and elegant, with subtle Disney touches woven throughout. The rooms feel timeless and comfortable, and I love the layout, especially the separate vanity area that makes getting ready easier. In the rooms, you can expect photographs of Walt Disney, and "hidden" Mickeys throughout. There are also special surprises, like the headboards, that add a little extra magic at the end of the day. The Disneyland Hotel tends to feel a bit more relaxed and refined, making it a wonderful choice if you are looking for something a little more romantic and calm.

Pixar Place Hotel has a completely different energy. It is bright, playful, and full of personality. The recent reimagining brought in bold colors, fun artwork, and lots of Pixar details that make the hotel feel cheerful and modern. If you love Pixar films and enjoy a more lively, upbeat atmosphere, this hotel might just be love at first sight. The rooms feel fresh and upbeat, and the theming is more obvious and immersive, especially for families with younger Guests or anyone who loves seeing their favorite Pixar pals around every corner. I love to tell Guests about running into Bing Bong in the Lobby by the big Pixar Ball, and to keep their eyes peeled for him!

Tera, planDisney and the Disney Parks Blog have amazing Pocket Guides for both the hotels, Disneyland Hotel and Pixar Place Hotel, which may help you decide which would be the perfect choice for your upcoming getaway.

Both hotels offer convenient onsite dining and easy access to the Downtown Disney District, which makes it simple to enjoy shopping, dining, and entertainment without needing transportation. Location wise, you truly cannot go wrong with either option, and either way, you will be staying right in the heart of the magic and making memories that will last long after your trip ends.

Tera, rooms can fill up quickly, especially around holidays and special occasions, so I recommend booking as soon as you can on the Disneyland website to secure your stay at the Happiest Place on Earth. Wishing you all the love of the season and a truly magical visit.
